Research

The practice is proud to support the National Institute for Health Research in developing new inititatives / guidelines promoting clinical excellence. Our collaboration with the East of England PCRN (Primary Care Research Network) is essential to maintain public awareness of poteinial reserach studies and to promote patient involvement.

It is important to remember that these are not clinical trials of potential new drugs or therapies but essential research to establish new procedures / guidelines on existing drugs or therapies that have already been passed by NICE (National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence).

Accordingly, from time to time, we may contact you to invite you to participate in a particular trial. This may take the form of simply allowing us or various research study groups to have access to your clinical records or it my take the form of a patient questionnaire. You may also be invited to attend the surgery for a discussion.

But please be assured, we will always ask your permission first and you are under no pressure or obligation to participate.

If you are unsure or you would like more information, please do not hesitate to speak to our Practice Manager.
